In the morning of this Thursday (8) the four winners of the International Highlight Award were announced. The award is promoted by Franchising Brasil, a partnership between the Brazilian Association of Franchising (ABF) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).
Franchises HNT, Coife Odonto and Maple Bear were the winners in the General category, while Chilli Beans won in the Strategy and Consolidation category. The winning brands were announced during the Franchising International Congress at the Franchising Week. The purpose of the award is to recognize chains that, by participating in initiatives developed by the program destined for promotion and qualification, have started or achieved a consistent internationalization process of their brands.
The competition for the award also included other 10 finalists, cases of the following brands: N1 Chicken, Calçados Bibi, Grupo SD, Diolaser, Acquazero, Depyl Action, Instituto Embelleze, Oakberry, O Boticário and CleanNew. The four winners of the award participated in Franchising International Congress at the Franchising Week, where they shared their successful cases, insights and learning experiences about the internationalization process.
To André Friedheim, president of ABF, “International expansion is a crucial strategy for Brazilian chains, and it’s even more important now, because of the crisis resulting from the novel coronavirus pandemic. Fortunately, the number of brands operating in foreign markets has been growing year after year. The International Franchise Certificate and the Internationalization Highlight Award are ways we found to recognize the good job such chains have been doing abroad and to encourage other brands to follow their steps and start operating internationally”.
