Known as one of the largest franchise fairs in the world, ABF Franchising Expo 2023 will take place in São Paulo, between June 28th and July 1st. The event is held by the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) and will host more than 400 exhibiting brands, including franchises and suppliers from several segments, such as: Food, Fashion, Educational Services, Health, Beauty and Wellness, Home and Construction, Entertainment, Cleaning and Conservation, Hospitality and Tourism, Automotive Services and Communications, IT and Electronics (Technology).
The event will feature themed spaces dedicated to microfranchises and startups, in addition to free lectures. It will also host the delivery of the trophies of the third edition of the International Highlight Award, a prize promoted by Franchising Brasil — the result of a partnership between the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) and the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) — to recognize networks that were successful in their international expansion during 2022.
For Bruno Amado, Franchising Brasil’s executive manager, ABF Expo is a great opportunity for chains that want to expand their operations in Brazil and also attract foreign investors: “The trophy delivery to the winning brands of the International Highlight Award during the event reinforces the message that we do have Brazilian franchises capable and willing to operate in a much broader market, as well as demonstrating that there is, indeed, interest from international franchisors in what we have to offer”, says Bruno.
In the last edition, the first one back to the in-person format, more than 65 thousand visitors attended the event, in addition to 457 exhibiting brands, of which 200 participated for the first time. At the time, Franchising Brasil brought five Latin American investors to learn about the program’s franchises which had a booth at the fair. There was also an award ceremony for the winners of the International Highlight Award 2022, which awarded the brands Chilli Beans, Espaçolaser, iGUi, Oakberry and Sobrancelhas Design.
Held since 2016, Franchising Week, a week of immersion into the franchising market, is part of the ABF Franchising Expo and the largest meeting of the sector in Latin America. This year’s edition is scheduled to take place between June 26th and 28th and, once again, offers a rich agenda of quality content, with debates, lectures with experts and several networking opportunities with renowned franchising professionals.
The 2nd edition of the Suppliers Fair will also take place during the Franchising Week. It is a space for presenting products and services to the participants attending the event. Just as in the last edition, Franchising Week’s segmented events will be presented in a hybrid format and some will also take place simultaneously.
