Roadshow Portugal: Brazilian franchises attended a matchmaking event with Portuguese investors

In September, Franchising Brasil reunited Brazilian franchises and a group of Portuguese investors in an unprecedented training and commercial promotion initiative. Roadshow Portugal is carried out 100% virtually by the internationalization program of the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) with the Brazilian Trade and Investments Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil). The initiative also has the support of the Portuguese Franchising Association (APF), the Luso-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILB), of the Embassy of Brazil in Lisbon and the Business Association of Portugal (AEP).

The event is expected to bring together brands such as Hering, Mr. Cheney Cookies, Cacau Show, Global Franchise Group, among many others, are confirmed. To see the complete list, click here and access the event’s exclusive landing page

The initiative will be split into two stages. In the first one, which takes place on the 21st, APF presents essential information about Portugal to registered national franchises. “The objective of this meeting is to prepare businesspeople for the meetings. With information about the Portuguese market, they will have more tools and arguments”, explains Bruno Amado, executive manager of Franchising Brasil.

On the 28th, 29th, and 30th, applicants participate in pitching sessions and meetings with potential investors. According to Bruno, this stage promises to heat up relations between the two nations: “this will be the moment when the presentations of the Brazilian franchises will take place and, later, meetings with potential interested Portuguese investors. It is a very comprehensive pilot action, which efficiently trains and promotes Brazilian franchising. Expectations are the best,” he concludes.
