Limpeza com Zelo bets on new technologies to conquer markets during the pandemic

Limpeza com Zelo, a participant in Franchising Brasil — Internationalization Program for the Franchising Sector carried out through a partnership between the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) —, is a network of residential cleaning businesses that has been successful in investing in new technologies. The franchise already has 125 units and perfected residential and commercial cleaning innovations during the pandemic.

Renato Ticoulat Neto, president of Limpeza com Zelo, saw in this moment of social distancing an opportunity to use electrostatic spraying technology. With this method, the droplets that are sprayed receive an electrical charge, transforming into magnets. In other words, instead of dispersing through the air, increasing consumption, they adhere to surfaces, increasing application efficiency.

He explains that, before the pandemic, the company had machines to perform this type of cleaning, but mostly for testing purposes. “We got out ahead of everyone with this technology and reached a million square meters of disinfection with it. All well reported to the customer, a success. “

And it was this market for cleaning small offices and condominiums that encouraged a partnership with companies in the lodging industry to perform check-out services for accommodations, on platforms such as Airbnb. “Our professionals go to the property when the traveler leaves to check if the shower is working, change the bed linen and make sure everything is in place. Our expectation is to carry out, on average, one thousand check-outs per month,” explains Renato.

The company has also been working with the development of software to build integrations for franchisees and customers, with QR code search systems. At the end of each cleaning, the company makes the code available, either on a business card left at the customer’s house or on a sticker in a room such as the bathroom mirror. With this, it is possible to give feedback about the service quickly, from the comfort of your smartphone.

Expectations

Renato hopes the pandemic will actually end in 2021. “We are waiting for maintenance services to resume, as we were cleaning many restaurants and mall stores, which have not yet completely returned,” he says. Regarding the importance of in-person service, he believes that it is not just about the services themselves, but also about networking: “Franchising Brasil helped me a lot when we went to Portugal. And they have introduced me to potential partners in Latin America, which has created great contacts,” concludes the president.
