Eight Brazilian franchises leave for Guatemala to immerse themselves in the local market

The next Franchising Brasil trade mission — a sector internationalization program carried out through a partnership between the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) — has already been defined. For the first time, Guatemala will be the country visited, between the 6th and 9th of May.

The Brazilian delegation includes the companies Acquazero, Buddha Spa, Corpo Bueno, Doutor Sofá, Global Franchise, Grupo SD, Kumon and Unhas Cariocas. Brand representatives are already preparing for an intense business agenda organized in partnership with the Guatemalan Franchise Association, which will include meetings, visits to businesses and a meeting with local businesspeople, on the 7th.

“We are very excited to go to Guatemala”, says Bruno Amado, ABF’s International Projects manager and executive manager of Franchising Brasil. “Our participants have enormous potential for international expansion and we hope that they will find great business opportunities in the Guatemalan market. We believe it will be an extremely productive experience, with many commercial contacts and possible partnerships emerging throughout the extensive agenda that lies ahead”, he adds.

In November 2023, the Calçados Bibi franchise, also participating in the internationalization program, opened the brand’s third licensed operation in the country.
