Brazilian franchises generate an expectation of more than USD 1 million in new business after trade mission in Panama

The Panama Trade Mission, which took place between May 15th and 17th, resulted in USD 1,070,000, among closed deals and expectations for the next months, for the delegation made up of seven Brazilian brands supported by Franchising Brasil — the result of a partnership between the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) and the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF).

The following franchises were in the Panamanian capital: Acquazero, Aggro, Casa do Construtor, Grupo SD, HNT, Hope and Morana. On the morning of the 15th, Brazilian businessmen participated in a presentation on the franchise panorama, the real estate sector and legal aspects of the local market with the participation of the Brazilian Embassy in Panama and the Panama Chamber of Commerce. The afternoon was devoted to meetings with potential new franchisees and partners. On the 16th and 17th, the delegation met the franchiser Pretelt, a chain of butchers and restaurants, and also visited the business centers: Multiplaza, Albrook Mall and Alta Plaza Mall.

“We returned from another trade mission, held in a strategic market for Brazilian franchises, with a feeling of accomplishment”, says Bruno Amado, executive manager of Franchising Brasil. “Panama is an important gateway for any brand that wants to expand its operations throughout Central America, and the volume of business generated in this endeavor demonstrates that there is, indeed, a huge interest from the Panamanian market for the products and services offered by our franchises”, he quoted.
