On August 4, Franchising Brasil promoted a unique matchmaking with Brasil IT+, focused on foreign market business — both are internationalization programs of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), carried out in collaboration with the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) and Softex, respectively.
This action’s goal was to create innovative solutions to Brazilian franchises operating abroad, through conversations with franchisers and technology companies. The event gathered seven members of Franchising Brasil — Bibi, Fábrica de Franchising, Global Franchise, N1 Chicken, Limpeza com Zelo, Santa Lolla, and Sfera Multifranquias — and 12 from Brasil IT+.
According to Bruno Amado, executive manager at Franchising Brasil, the initiative was a success. “The idea was precisely to match goals between the internationalization program participating companies”, he says. “We found out that many companies have the need for a system that enables the integration between foreign operations and national franchisers, through stock management or tax systems. Thus, the technology companies’ presentations were essential for franchisees to better understand the solutions”, he explains.
The first event promoted pitching sessions of the technology companies. The matchmaking was organized based on presentations. “These are the first steps of a partnership we hope is long-lasting and productive”, Bruno ends.
