Franchising Brasil promotes trade mission to Portugal with record participation of Brazilian companies

The trade mission organized by Franchising Brasil — the internationalization program of the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) — leaves in November with a delegation of 18 Brazilian franchises to explore another potential market for internationalization, this time, Portugal.

The visit, organized in conjunction with the Portuguese Franchising Association (APF) and the Portuguese Business Association (AEP), is scheduled for November 7 to 11. The following Brazilian franchises have confirmed their participation: Açaí Concept, Arranjos Express (Sapatop), Best Shape Spa (Emagrecentro), BF Brands Franchising (Bioflora), Braza Churrasqueira, Caricanecas, Eyebrow Design, Global Franchise Net, Goola Açaí, L’entrecôte de Paris, Maria Pitanga, NTW Contabilidade e gestão empresarial, Onodera Estética, School of Rock, The Coffee, Tropicool and Unhas Cariocas — a record number of participants.

The Brazilian delegation’s agenda in Portugal includes technical visits to shopping centers, immersion workshops on the Portuguese franchise market, presentations, panels and business roundtables with Brazilian franchises and investors. The delegation will participate in activities in Porto and Lisbon, two of the wealthiest cities in Portugal, according to the latest study by the National Institute of Statistics of Portugal (INE) in 2018.

“We are really looking forward to another international trade mission and we believe that an investment in the Portuguese market was the right choice,” says Bruno Amado, executive manager of Franchising Brasil. “With so much in common between our cultures, we are confident that Brazilian franchises will find Portugal an extremely receptive market,” Bruno concludes.

Bruno also commemorates the record number of brands that signed up to participate in the visit: “this is a demonstration of the confidence and partnership we have developed among Brazilian franchises over 15 years of internationalization efforts, creating opportunities like the ones we will look for in Portugal.”
