Last month, the Brazilian Franchising Association (ABF) announced the franchises that have won the Excellence in Franchising Seal, offered annually. The Seal recognizes the brands that were best evaluated by their franchisees. In the 2023 edition, 225 Brazilian franchises were certified, including several participating in Franchising Brasil – the result of a partnership between the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) and ABF.

Based on criteria such as franchisee support, training, cost-benefit, return on investment, among others, the seal is divided into four categories: Pleno, which brings together brands with at least 5 franchisees, 10 units and two years in business; Senior, which represents networks with 15 franchisees, 30 operations and five years in the market; Master, which are the franchises with at least 30 franchisees, 60 units and in business for at least ten years; and Mega, that represents brands with 100 franchisees, 200 units and at least 15 years in the market.

In this 32nd edition, 63 brands were recognized in the Pleno category, 82 in the Senior category, 58 in the Master category, and 22 in the Mega category. The award received 352 entries in total.
