Brazilian fast-food chain Giraffas announces its own mayonnaise line

Brazilian fast-food chain Giraffas starts operating in retailing by launching a product its customers have been waiting for so long: its exclusive mayonnaise. The novelty is part of the new product line of the restaurant, which has been preparing other surprises for 2020.

The brand, which is famous for its sandwiches and meals and currently has over 400 units across Brazil, is a member of Franchising Brasil — a sector project for the internationalization of Brazilian franchise brands carried out by means of a partnership between the Brazilian Association of Franchising (ABF) and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil).

With almost 40 years of existence, the chain announced the novelty last September. The mayonnaise recipe was created by the founder of the brand, Carlos Guerra. The product will be available in a 360-mL bottle and sold in the chain stores, via delivery on the app or on the website. It will also be sold in supermarkets throughout the country soon.

Carlos says the idea has been considered for some time, since customers love the product. “The current scenario requires innovation, so we took the opportunity to operate in a different segment, what will give the chain the chance of increasing its revenue”, points out the businessman. And he adds: “We managed to develop a recipe that is safe for consumption and has a taste and a quality very similar to those of the home-made mayonnaise, but also has a longer shelf-life. We developed the ideal product to offer to our customers and we have been working on other products already, so that people can take Giraffas’ products home.”
