Between August 16 and 27, the second edition of the Think Tank Franchising Brasil will take place. This year, the free virtual meetings between franchisors, franchisees, and big international names in the chain will be permeated by the theme of post-pandemic recovery.
The initiative is promoted by Franchising Brasil – a program for the internationalization of the franchising sector, carried out through a partnership between the Brazilian Franchising Association and the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil) – and counts on the support of international partners. They are the Ecuadorian Franchise Association; the Venezuelan Chamber of Franchises (ProFranquicias); the Colombian Chamber of Franchises (COLFRANQUICIAS); the Uruguayan Franchise Chamber; and the Guatemalan Franchise Association (AGF).
The goal of the conversations is to promote networking, brainstorm solutions for the future, contact different points of view and strategies, and exchange ideas among entrepreneurs in the franchise sector from all over the world.
The tables will discuss six themes: “Successful internationalization in the post-pandemic”; “Changes in the supply chain”; “Digital transformation in franchising”; “The new role of social media”; “Physical unit expansion vs e-commerce (Brick & Click)”; and “Transformation in the relationship between franchisor and franchisee”.
The meetings will be closed and divided by the profile of the franchise, the sector in which it operates, the topics of interest for discussion, and the affinity with the other participants. Groupings will be made based on the answers on the registration form.
“The Think Tank is a great opportunity for Brazilian franchises. The meetings will promote the integration of the global sector through a series of brainstorming sessions with perspectives on the commercial upturn. This year we have prepared hot topics and will have, again, the support of important international partners”, declares Bruno Amado, executive manager of the Franchising Brazil Program.
In 2020, the Think Tank had the participation of 41 Brazilian companies and 36 foreign companies, from ten countries: Brazil, Portugal, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Paraguay, Ecuador, Panama, and Uruguay. “Last year, the participants exchanged views and strategies with franchisees and various franchises, and it was very productive,” Bruno concludes.
