Brazil closes Franchise Expo Paris and Multi-Unit Franchising Conference with expectation of USD 2.6 million in business for the next 12 months

In March, Franchising Brasil — the result of a partnership between ApexBrasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and ABF (Brazilian Franchising Association) — participated in two of the largest franchising fairs in the world: Franchise Expo Paris, which took place in the French capital, and the Multi-Unit Franchising Conference, held in Las Vegas, in the United States. Together, the events resulted in 145 new contacts and the expectation of USD 2.6 million in business for the next 12 months.

Franchise Expo Paris 2022

The event took place in Paris between the 20th and 23rd of March and marked the return of Brazil to face-to-face fairs. Franchising Brasil supported the departure of a Brazilian delegation made up of fifteen brands: Acquazero, Açaí Concept, Bibi Calçados, Bioflora, Biomagistral, Bio’me Brazil, Cheirin Bão, Espaçolaser, L’entrecôte de Paris, Grupo Rão (Pizza do Rão, Najah Rão and Sushi Rão), MDF Food (Lugs), Universal Franchising and Usaflex.

The participation of Brazilian companies in the event resulted in 95 new contacts and the expectation of USD 340 thousand in business during the next 12 months.

The French fair is the main franchising event in Europe and one of the largest in the world. It is known as the most diversified franchising exhibition on the market, where the most relevant innovations of the segment are presented, with a high concentration of international investors.

Multi-Unit Franchising Conference 2022

The 21st edition of the North American fair was held at Caesars Forum, in the city of Las Vegas, between March 29th and April 1st. Brazil was represented at the event by a group of entrepreneurs from seven Brazilian brands: Açaí Concept, Casa Group, Clean New, Cheirin Bão, HNT Chicken, Espaçolaser and Maple Bear.

The event also had an exclusive stand in Brazil, which promoted several business rounds, B2B meetings and the promotion of encounters with potential investors. Brazilian brands made 50 contacts and generated a business expectation of USD 2.35 million for the next 12 months.

“We came to know the market and understand the consumer profile and it was better than expected. It opened my mind about internationalization”, quotes Thaís Correia, marketing manager at the Empório Mineiro Cheirin Bão chain.

The conference is always an excellent opportunity for the successful growth of the franchising market and an unmissable event for multi-unit and multi-brand franchisees looking to build their businesses to achieve their expansion goals.

“Very good event and initiative. There was great information at the conference”, completes Eduardo Morita, responsible for Casagroup’s internationalization process.
